Heli Gauges 1.6.2(1)

The Heli Gauges App, patented under No. US 10,780,995 B1, is specifically engineered for Helicopter External Sling Load Operations (HESLO). It is compatible with the iPad Mini 5 or later models and iPhone 10 or newer versions. This application serves as a sophisticated tool providing remote-mounted engine gauges for various helicopter models, including the B407 and AS350B2 (non-VEMD) offered as a "Remote Gauge," and the AS350B3 (H125) utilized as the "FLI Repeater."

Additionally, it features a Slaved Indicator that effectively replaces the Onboard Systems Remote Analog Gauge, which is incompatible with the new Onboard C-40 Load Indicator. The Remote Gauge or FLI Repeater app receives engine data via Bluetooth from either the ETM1000 or DCS1100 Data Acquisition Unit (DAU), respectively. For the Slaved Indicator, weight data is sourced from the SIB100 system through the Onboard C-39, C-40, or MXI load indicators.

The installation of the iPad or iPhone adjacent to the external load window is facilitated by approved mounts for the AS350 (Dart and MVPK windows). This strategic positioning aligns the instruments with the pilot's line of sight to the external load, which may contribute to reduced pilot fatigue and operational exceedances while enhancing overall safety during HESLO activities.
